By now, most of us have heard the news: grateful people are happier, healthier and generally more fulfilled.
And while these are all really great side effects of gratitude, for me, one of the coolest things about gratitude is the way it affects the heart. The heart creates an electromagnetic field that expands up to five feet from the body. Its electrical field is 60 times stronger in amplitude than that of the brain.
Studies show that when people cultivate positive feelings,...

I’ll be honest: I’ve probably initiated sex seven times in my entire life, and at least three of those times, it wasn’t really me. It was the tequila.
Maybe I just run with a conservative group of women, but I’m not the only one who finds herself opening a corporeal invite more often than she sends it.
DMT is a chemical compound found throughout nature in plants, animals and even as a component in certain frog venom. This peculiar substance is a powerful psychedelic that has extraordinary results when consumed, subjective experience varies from person to person but many parallels can be seen in certain accounts between different people. The experience itself lasts for about 15minutes in real time, but from the accounts of the people experiencing it this 15 minutes can feel like a much longer time. Some studies have been conducted on the chemical substance, mainly the trials done by Doctor Rick Strassman from the University of New Mexico in America.
The law of attraction and the philosophy of immortality, a symbiotic relationship to living a healthy happy and sustainable life.
So, what truly is the law of attraction? We hear about it a lot, number one sellers such as 'The Secret' giving us the simple notion we reap what we sew through our thoughts, but is it so simple?
Does the universe truly give what we imagine just by sending out the energy through our thoughts and intentions?
I was on my way to the restaurant, a few days ago, last week, and I saw these little babies possums that were still in their mother's poche, but the mother possum was dead. I think she might have been hit by a car or something. But the babies were alive and I was thinking that I wanted to take care of them but I didn't do anything about it at first, and then when I came back that same night, I talked to Line, a friend, about it, and she wanted to take care of them too but she had a lot of things going on, and she helped me to find a box, so I decided to take them all home. At first, I thought they were only three, but it was 7 of them, cause there were all hidden in their mother's pouch. So I took them all from the cold body of their dead mother. I never thought I could do that!
I came to South America with the intention of learning about Shamans and the mystery behind the plant medicines, throughout my stay in Ecuador I have participated in various ceremonies and have recorded my experiences. In this article I will list a few of the experiences I have had in ceremonies throughout my stay in a Plant medicine healing retreat just outside the city Cuenca in Ecuador. The way these ceremonies were conducted was in the setting of a Maloka, in the middle was a fire that was kept by two people under the command of the Shaman and around the fire sat 30 guests that were consuming the medicine facilitated by 2 Shamans who would conduct the prayers sing the Icarus songs and serve the medicine.

After two weeks volunteering in Montanita, working in the Amor Infinito vegan restaurant, I get to take on a morning shift. This is when the magic happens, when all the nutritious veggies and fruits are turned into delicious meals. I am excited to finally be a part of this.
It is 8:30 when I get to the restaurant. Our chef Xavier is already there, having a quick breakfast and planning out the meal for the day. Together with him and Murillo, a volunteer from Brazil, I go to the store to buy the ingredients for the day.
There are many small stores in Montanita, all full of vegetables and fruits. Most of the fruits I know from back home but some of them here are so exotic. I have never seen a passion fruit in real, only on the images on juice boxes. They have such a thick skin under which hides the edible part of the fruit. It is a bit slimy but so delicious,
The Amor Infinito vegan restaurant is run by volunteers. We come from all over the world to spend two, three weeks - sometimes even more - to work a few hours everyday at the restaurant. Up to 15 volunteers live in one house together, sharing a small kitchen and one bathroom. There is so much interest from volunteers that at some moments there even isn’t enough work for everybody in the restaurant, so we end up doing other work like babysitting and writing these articles.
How would you like to be woken up by the first, soft sun light and the songs of the birds? How would you like to then turn over and sleep a bit more because there is no rush to get up? How would you like to meet loads of happy, loving, fascinating people over breakfast?
This is what mornings in Montanita are like. The volunteers of the Amor Infinito Vegan Restaurant all live together in a happy house not far from the beach. There are a bunch of tents on the rooftop terrace.
